What is my responsibility as a participant?

You are expected to participate fully by attending each session. You must:

  • Attend the orientation, project planning meeting, and final presentations.
  • Attend a minimum of nine of the remaining 12 sessions held on alternating Thursdays from 8 a.m. to noon; be on time and stay for the entire session.
  • Actively participate in your community project group, which will need to meet on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.

What is the cost and how do I apply?

The enrollment fee is $1,200, which includes all sessions, instructional materials, refreshments, and the graduation dinner. Scholarships are available. If you would not otherwise be able to participate in the program without a scholarship, you are encouraged to apply.

You will be notified of acceptance on or around September 25. The enrollment fee of $1,200 will be invoiced upon acceptance. Since the number of participants in the program is limited, applicants who are not selected are encouraged to reapply in subsequent years.

Contact us with any questions about the program, the application, or scholarships at cchedric@iu.edu or (812) 855-7662. Submit an application for the class of 2024, available now. Completed applications for the 2024 class are due by September 18, 2023.

Are scholarships available?

Several partial scholarships from the LBMC Alumni Association are available to individuals who would not otherwise be able to participate in the LEAD program. Tuition assistance requests are due with your application.
